Requirements for getting married in Jamaica
All documentation is required 30 days prior to the wedding. 14 days expedited service is available for an extra fee. Both parties must be resident on the island 24 hours prior to the ceremony.
Required documents:
- Full names of both parties, age, occupation, marital status, father's name
- Original or notarized/certified copies of Birth Certificate
- Original or certified copy of Decree Absolute if divorced, certified or sealed by the Clerk of Court. Photocopies are not accepted
- Original or certified copies of Death Certificate if widow or widower
